Lead complex AI transformation programmes across global financial services organisations

The Role

Join Capco’s Business Consulting practice as an AI Programme Manager, supporting leading financial services organisations in delivering large-scale AI and Generative AI transformation initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of programme leadership, strategic delivery, governance, and AI-enabled business transformation, helping clients scale AI capabilities in a controlled, commercially valuable, and operationally sustainable way.

You will lead complex transformation programmes spanning business, operations, technology, risk, and compliance teams, ensuring AI initiatives are effectively governed, strategically aligned, and successfully delivered within highly regulated environments. The role combines strong programme management capability with consulting, stakeholder leadership, commercial awareness, and an understanding of emerging AI technologies and enterprise delivery challenges.

Working closely with senior client stakeholders, delivery teams, and AI specialists, you will oversee delivery roadmaps, programme governance, risk management, reporting, and cross-functional coordination, while helping clients navigate the broader organisational, operational, and regulatory considerations associated with AI adoption at scale.

What You’ll Do

Lead the delivery of complex AI and Generative AI transformation programmes across financial services organisations, overseeing governance, delivery planning, RAID management, stakeholder engagement, and programme execution activities Partner with senior stakeholders across business, technology, operations, risk, compliance, and product teams to shape delivery roadmaps, align priorities, and ensure successful implementation of AI-enabled capabilities Drive programme governance, reporting, KPI tracking, and delivery oversight across multiple workstreams, ensuring initiatives remain commercially focused, strategically aligned, and operationally sustainable Support the integration of responsible AI, governance, regulatory, and risk management considerations into programme delivery, including alignment with evolving AI regulatory frameworks and enterprise controls Contribute to practice growth through client relationship management, consulting leadership, thought leadership, mentoring, and support for business development and proposition activities

What We’re Looking For

Significant experience leading complex transformation or technology programmes within financial services environments, with SME-level exposure to Banking & Payments, Capital Markets, Wealth & Asset Management, or Insurance Strong understanding of programme management methodologies, governance frameworks, Agile and hybrid delivery approaches, and enterprise transformation delivery within regulated organisations Knowledge of AI, Generative AI, and emerging AI technologies, including enterprise AI adoption challenges, governance considerations, and operational implications within financial services Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across business and technology functions, translating strategic objectives into actionable delivery outcomes and measurable business value Commercially minded and delivery-focused, with strong communication, problem-solving, risk management, and cross-functional leadership capabilities

Bonus Points For

Previous consulting or advisory experience within a professional services environment at Principal Consultant or equivalent level Experience supporting AI governance, responsible AI, model risk management, or AI regulatory compliance initiatives within financial services Familiarity with AI operating models, enterprise AI adoption strategies, or AI-enabled productivity and transformation programmes Experience managing multidisciplinary delivery teams across product, engineering, operations, and business functions Exposure to tools and platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, enterprise AI ecosystems, Power Platform, or workflow automation solutions
