AI Research Engineer
£55,000 - £60,000 + Benefits
We're looking for an AI Research Engineer to help shape the future of AI within a well-established technology business.
This is an opportunity to explore, evaluate and prototype emerging AI technologies before helping bring successful ideas into production. You'll work closely with engineering teams to research new approaches, build proof of concepts and identify where AI can genuinely add value across the organisation.
This role would suit someone who enjoys staying ahead of the latest developments in AI and Machine Learning and wants the freedom to experiment with technologies such as LLMs, Agentic AI, RAG and Computer Vision.
What you'll be doing
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Commercial AI experience is beneficial but we're equally interested in candidates who have built strong personal projects, completed research, or have postgraduate experience applying modern AI techniques.
Why join?
This is an opportunity to join a business at the beginning of its AI journey, where you'll have genuine influence over the direction of future AI capabilities.
