Typical Responsibilities

Depending on the partner organisation and opportunity, responsibilities may include:

  • Building AI-powered products, features, tools, and internal systems
  • Developing scalable backend services, APIs, and software platforms
  • Integrating LLMs, machine learning models, and AI services into production applications
  • Collaborating with product managers, designers, data scientists, and engineering teams
  • Improving the performance, reliability, security, and scalability of software systems
  • Designing and maintaining data pipelines, model workflows, or cloud infrastructure
  • Supporting the development of AI agents, automation workflows, and intelligent applications
  • Writing clean, maintainable, well-tested code
  • Contributing to architecture discussions and technical planning
  • Evaluating new AI tools, frameworks, and technologies
  • Supporting inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing engineering cultures

Ideal Candidate

We welcome applications from candidates with backgrounds such as AI Software Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, Software Engineer, Backend Engineer, Full Stack Engineer, Applied AI Engineer, AI Engineer, Data Engineer, MLOps Engineer, or similar technical roles.

Successful candidates will typically have:

  • Experience building software products, platforms, tools, or technical systems
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Go, C++, or similar
  • Experience working with AI, machine learning, LLMs, data systems, or automation tools
  • Understanding of software engineering best practices, testing, architecture, and deployment
  • Experience with cloud platforms, APIs, databases, or backend systems
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with product, data, design, and business teams
  • Interest in building practical AI products and real-world technology solutions
  • Curiosity about emerging technologies and the future of AI
  • A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
  • Interest in UK-based, hybrid, or remote engineering opportunities
