About The Role
This is a senior leadership role within a central technology enablement team, responsible for shaping how AI solutions are designed at the earliest stages of strategic opportunities.
As a Director, you will lead a team of senior architects supporting business leaders by providing deep technical expertise, architectural rigour and scalable solution design. You will ensure that complex business requirements are translated into robust, delivery-ready AI architectures.
A key focus of this role is enabling high-quality solutions from the outset—reducing rework, avoiding bespoke designs, and increasing the reuse of proven assets and patterns. You will play a critical role in ensuring that early-stage AI solutions are grounded in delivery reality, with security, scalability and long-term value embedded from day one.
What You'll Do
Leading and developing a high-performing team of senior AI solution architects Shaping AI solutions at early stages to ensure they are scalable, secure and aligned to delivery capability Defining and embedding standard architecture patterns and reusable solution designs Driving reuse of accelerators, prototypes and proven solution components Acting as the senior technical authority in complex client and internal discussions Improving the quality, consistency and robustness of solution design and proposals Working closely with engineering and delivery teams to ensure alignment between design and implementation Engaging with senior stakeholders to challenge assumptions and guide technical decision-making

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
