AI Solutions Director – Public Sector & Regulated Delivery
Hybrid | UK-Wide Travel Required
We're looking for an AI Solutions Director to join a growing technology consultancy delivering complex digital and AI-enabled transformation programmes across public sector and regulated environments.
This is a senior, highly influential role for someone who can bridge technical solution architecture with the practical realities of deploying AI in organisations where governance, policy and stakeholder confidence matter as much as technology choices.
This isn't a pure research, data science or machine learning engineering position. Instead, we're seeking someone who can design robust AI-enabled solutions, guide delivery teams through implementation decisions, navigate governance requirements and act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders.
You'll work closely with architects, delivery teams, product leaders and client organisations to ensure AI solutions are practical, responsible and capable of delivering measurable outcomes.
The Role
You'll own and shape the AI-in-the-solution workstream across multiple client engagements, helping organisations adopt AI technologies safely and effectively while balancing innovation with governance, assurance and operational realities.
This is a highly collaborative and client-facing role, requiring regular travel to support workshops, stakeholder meetings and programme delivery activities across the UK.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
