The Role
This is a forward-deployed engineering role, embedded within business teams to deliver AI-driven process automation at scale. The AI Solutions Engineer is accountable for designing, building and deploying AI-powered agents and automated workflows across critical business processes.
Operating at the intersection of engineering, AI and operations, you'll work directly with business teams to understand workflows, integrate enterprise systems and deliver production-ready agent solutions that drive measurable improvements in efficiency, quality and experience. You'll translate complex workflows into scalable, reusable agent-driven solutions and bridge the gap between AI capability and real-world business impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and deploy AI agents capable of executing multi-step business workflows
- Integrate agents with key enterprise systems and ensure solutions are secure, governed and production-ready
- Translate business processes into reusable agent skills and workflows, owning the lifecycle from discovery through to optimisation
- Embed within business functions to understand workflows, identify automation opportunities and rapidly prototype solutions
- Act as the technical owner for real-world implementation, working directly in live environments to deliver measurable outcomes
- Lead the redesign of high-impact processes for agent-led automation and end-to-end process transformation
- Standardise and scale successful solutions across the organisation, measuring impact across efficiency, throughput, quality and experience
- Partner with Product, Engineering, AI and business teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Contribute to internal agent platform standards, integration components, frameworks and workflow templates that support enterprise adoption

Skills & Experience Required
- Strong software engineering background with experience in APIs, integrations and distributed systems
- Proven experience designing, building and delivering solutions into production environments
- Experience with AI architecture and patterns, including RAG, tool calling and multi-agent orchestration
- Experience building or deploying AI/LLM-powered solutions and workflows
- Full-stack software engineering skills, particularly Python, APIs and system integration
- Enterprise system integration and architecture experience
- Workflow automation and process modelling expertise
- Ability to understand and redesign complex business workflows
- Strong stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Comfortable owning solutions end-to-end and working directly with business users in fast-moving environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders
