AI Solutions Engineer
£40,000 - £45,000 + Bonus | Hybrid – Manchester
(Perfect for a TypeScript Developer, Integration Engineer or Software Engineer looking to move down a slightly different career path)
About the Company
This is an opportunity to join one of Manchester's most exciting AI businesses, building an Agentic AI-powered platform used by global organisations including Walmart, Uber and ASOS.
The company has gone from founding → Y Combinator-backed → enterprise customers → acquisition in just a few years. Their platform helps businesses connect systems, automate workflows and deploy AI-powered agents at scale, solving complex integration challenges for organisations around the world.
About the Role
If you're not already familiar with the title, a Solutions Engineer sits somewhere between a Software Engineer, Solution Architect, Integration Engineer, Sales Engineer and AI Engineer.
You'll work directly with customers to understand their systems, design integration solutions and then build them yourself. Using TypeScript, APIs and AI-powered tools, you'll connect the platform with customer applications, automate workflows and ensure data flows seamlessly between systems.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
