About the Role
The Senior Artificial Intelligence (AI) Solutions Product Manager is accountable for defining and developing Mace’s AI-enabled products and capabilities. Working closely with the AI Solutions Manager, business stakeholders, customers and strategic partners the Product Manager ensures that AI solutions offer maximum value to the business.
The Product Manager manages the identification and prioritisation of AI enabled products, AI Solutions and cases. They translate business needs into clear product requirements, manage the product roadmap and ensure successful adoption and measurable impact across Mace.
Please Note: UK-based Birmingham or London (hybrid), with a global remit and a core delivery team based in India.
You’ll Be Responsible For
Product roadmap and performance management
- Defining and maintaining the product strategy and roadmap for Mace’s AI products, solutions and capabilities aligned to business objectives.
- Clearly articulate the value proposition, business cases and success measures for all AI products.
- Establishing KPIs and success metrics for all AI products (e.g. adoption, efficiency gains, cost reduction).
- Monitoring product performance using product analytics and user feedback, working with AI Operations to understand operational signals where relevant.
- Assessing market and internal innovation opportunities to inform product direction.
Enhancement and continuous improvement
- Driving continuous improvement and ensure solutions deliver measurable business value.
- Working with system owners and business stakeholder to identify, shape and prioritise enhancements to existing AI capabilities.
- Translating business and product priorities into clearly defined delivery backlogs for development teams.
- Supporting the progression of AI products from pilot to production deployment in partnership with AI Architecture and AI Operations teams, ensuring product readiness and value alignment.

Stakeholder engagement
- Working closely with system owners and Digital Services stakeholders, customers, strategic partners, industry analysts to ensure AI products meet business needs, prioritise enhancements and manage expectation
- Managing adoption activities to ensure AI products are successfully embedded and delivering value.
- Communicating product updates, benefits, realisation and KPIs to stakeholders and leadership.
Governance, risk and assurance
- Ensuring AI solutions operate in line with Digital, Security, Data and Architecture standards.
- Identifying and managing product-level risks, dependencies and constraints, escalating operational risks and AI Operations where appropriate.
- Advocate compliance with relevant policies, ethical AI principles and regulatory obligations.
You’ll Need To Have
- Proven experience managing digital or AI or advanced analytics products through full lifecycle.
- Ability to work in small, cross functional, autonomous teams to rapidly deliver customer value using iterative, outcome driven development.
- Solid understanding of discriminative and generative AI concepts and technologies.
- Experience working with cloud platforms, APIs and modern application architectures.
- Experience of AI platforms operating at enterprise scale.
- Familiarity with data engineering, MLOps or model lifecycle management practices.
- Awareness of common enterprise Generative AI patterns (e.g. retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), prompt and response evaluation, and human‑in‑the‑loop approaches), with the ability to engage effectively with architects and engineers on trade‑offs and product implications.
- Hands‑on experience exploring and validating AI product concepts through prototypes, pilots, or experimentation to inform product decisions and prioritisation (not hands‑on solution build or operations).
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to translate complex technical concepts into clear operational outcomes.
- Structured and methodical approach to problem solving and service improvement.
- Commercial awareness and ability to balance cost, risk and value.
- Outcome - oriented with a focus on measurable value.
- Experience managing and coordinating distributed, offshore delivery teams.
- Ability to set clear priorities, drive accountability and maintain delivery focus.
- Collaborative leadership style, working effectively across product, engineering and support functions.
- Significant experience in AI, advanced analytics or software platform operations (or equivalent experience).
- Broad experience of operating technology services within medium to large enterprises.
- Relevant degree or professional qualification.
- Experience transitioning innovative or emerging technologies into live operational environments.
