Role Description
The AI & Tech Policy Expert is a full-time, remote role responsible for analyzing, developing, and communicating policies related to artificial intelligence and broader technology issues. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Monitoring global policy and regulatory developments
- Conducting research and drafting policy briefs, white papers, and guidance documents
- Providing expert analysis on AI governance, data protection, and digital ethics
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners to shape organizational positions, contribute to public consultations, and support compliance strategies
- Preparing presentations and talking points
- Participating in stakeholder meetings
- Helping design frameworks and standards that promote safe, transparent, and fair use of AI and digital technologies

- Strong expertise in AI governance, technology regulation, and digital ethics, including familiarity with global regulatory trends and policy frameworks.
- Proficiency in policy research and analysis, with experience drafting policy briefs, reports, and recommendations for diverse audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical and legal concepts into clear, accessible language.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, engage with external stakeholders, and work independently in a remote environment.
- Background in law, public policy, political science, technology studies, or a related field; advanced degree or equivalent experience in AI policy or tech regulation is highly beneficial.
- Understanding of data protection, cybersecurity, and responsible AI practices, including issues related to transparency, accountability, and fairness.
- Experience working with or advising technology companies, public institutions, NGOs, or industry bodies on AI or digital policy is a strong plus.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory, and human-centered approaches to technology development and deployment.
