AI Tooling Governance & Adoption Manager

Basingstoke - 2x a week

This is a rare opportunity to shape how AI is governed and adopted across a growing organisation.

The Company

They are an established business investing heavily in AI and emerging technology to drive efficiency and innovation. As AI adoption expands across multiple functions, they are focused on building robust governance, clear policies, and sustainable operating models. This newly created role will be central to that journey, working with stakeholders across the business to embed best practice and maximise value.

The Role

  • Own AI governance frameworks, policies, and controls across the organisation
  • Manage the lifecycle of AI tools, including evaluation, approval, adoption, and retirement
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, Security, HR, Finance, and business teams to ensure responsible AI usage
  • Oversee AI tooling budgets, vendor relationships, licence management, and procurement activities
  • Drive adoption through training programmes, internal communications, and usage monitoring
  • Produce executive reporting on adoption, spend, risk, and overall AI performance

Your Skills & Experience

  • Strong commercial experience in technology governance, SaaS operations, programme management, or a related field
  • Experience managing enterprise software or technology platforms throughout their lifecycle
  • Knowledge of AI tools, large language models, and the associated governance and security considerations
  • Ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholder groups and influence decision-making
  • Strong analytical and commercial skills, including budgeting, vendor management, and reporting
  • Excellent communication skills with experience translating complex policies into practical guidance
