Job Description: AI-Native Software Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on AI-Native Software Engineer to design, build, and deploy production-grade AI-driven systems for enterprise environments. You will work at the intersection of software engineering, artificial intelligence, and cloud technologies to develop intelligent applications that automate business processes, enhance decision-making, and create measurable business value. This role requires someone who is passionate about building with the latest AI technologies, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has experience delivering scalable, secure, cloud-native solutions. You will design agent-based workflows, integrate AI platforms with enterprise systems, and build robust applications that are ready for production.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy production-grade AI applications and intelligent automation solutions.
- Build and orchestrate AI agent workflows using modern agent frameworks and LLM technologies.
- Integrate AI platforms with enterprise applications, APIs, databases, and business systems.
- Develop scalable cloud-native applications and microservices using modern software engineering practices.
- Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, vector search capabilities, and knowledge-based AI solutions.
- Implement secure, reliable, and observable AI systems with appropriate monitoring, logging, and governance.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into AI-enabled solutions.
- Optimize AI applications for performance, latency, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD processes.
- Stay current with emerging AI frameworks, models, and engineering best practices, recommending improvements where appropriate.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
