About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate, Applied AI/ML Engineer to join our Applied AI/ML team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in assisting our clients and internal teams in building, deploying, and managing advanced AI and machine learning models and agentic systems. Your expertise will ensure these systems operate in a safe, scalable, and reliable manner, aligning with best practices and regulatory standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop robust data pipelines, implement observability frameworks, and optimize AI/ML workflows. Your contributions will directly impact the firm's ability to deliver innovative AI-driven solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients and uphold the firm’s commitment to responsible AI use.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in supporting AI/ML product delivery, with hands-on experience in deploying and managing models and agent workflows. You should have a solid understanding of observability, evaluation, experimentation platforms, and tracing systems specific to AI/ML or large language models. Experience with distributed data processing frameworks such as Ray, Spark, or similar technologies is essential. Strong software engineering skills, including writing clean, maintainable code, testing, CI/CD practices, and API development, are required. Excellent communication skills are vital for translating complex technical requirements into practical engineering solutions and collaborating effectively with diverse teams. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a passion for innovation are highly valued.

Responsibilities
- Assist clients and internal teams in building, deploying, and troubleshooting AI/ML models and agent systems across various frameworks, ensuring adherence to best practices and integration standards.
- Implement and manage AI/ML observability tools, including experimentation management, tracing, and monitoring systems, to enhance model and agent behavior quality and reliability.
- Design, develop, and optimize large-scale data processing pipelines and feature workflows using distributed compute platforms such as Ray, Spark, or equivalent technologies.
- Leverage coding assistants and automation tools to improve engineering efficiency without compromising on code quality and standards.
- Ensure secure deployment and access controls for AI/ML services, following secure-by-design principles, environment separation, and access management policies aligned with firm guidelines for responsible AI use.
- Create comprehensive technical documentation, runbooks, and support materials to facilitate supportability, repeatability, and knowledge sharing across teams.
