We are looking for an experienced Air Cargo Import specialist to join our team and play a key role in managing international shipments while supporting smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

What you´ll do?
- Consolidation:
- Manage the full life cycle of air import shipments, liaising with airlines to obtain shipment release.
- Plan and manage fleet schedules, coastwise transfers, and subcontracted transportation to ensure efficient shipment collection and delivery.
- Oversee External Temporary Storage Facility (ETSF) operations for swift shipment turnover.
- Allocate arrival costs accurately, monitor shipment status in customs systems, and manage end to end handovers.
- Maintain and update internal records, including airline handling charges, shed contacts, and customer codes, while coordinating with warehouse and air export teams.
- Support audits, reporting, and KPI tracking to maintain operational efficiency.
- Customer Service:
- Manage shipment documentation from origin to delivery, creating accurate work files and delivery notes.
- Coordinate with customs clearance teams and schedule deliveries promptly after clearance.
- Follow up on shipments requiring customer input to prevent delays and ensure proof of delivery (POD) is accurately recorded.
- Source and liaise with hauliers to secure competitive, reliable transport for dedicated deliveries.
- Raise and issue accurate final invoices, including applicable charges and customs duties, and verify data against customer agreements to reduce errors.
- Maintain and update internal and customer specific KPIs in line with service level

What you´ll need?
- Proven experience in customs clearance or freight forwarding, with strong knowledge of customs procedures and freight documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Office and customs systems, ideally ASM Sequoia, CHIEF, CDS, or similar platforms.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
- High attention to detail, with a proactive, solution oriented mindset.
