Job Title: Air Conditioning Engineer Location: Manchester Pay Range/details: Up to £45,000 per annum DOE Contract Type: Permanent
Omega are supporting a leading UK commercial fit-out and building services contractor in their search for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established business delivering high-quality HVAC, maintenance, and refurbishment services across a diverse portfolio of commercial projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in servicing, maintaining, and installing air conditioning systems while contributing to the continued success of a highly reputable organisation.
Key Responsibilities – Air Conditioning Engineer
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a range of air conditioning and HVAC systems across commercial sites. Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently on split systems, VRV/VRF units, multi-split systems, and associated ventilation equipment. Undertake installation, commissioning, and testing of air conditioning systems in line with manufacturer guidelines and industry standards. Ensure all work is completed safely and compliantly, adhering to F-Gas regulations, health & safety policies, and company procedures. Complete service reports, job sheets, and compliance documentation accurately, providing clear updates on works carried out and any remedial actions required. Build strong working relationships with clients and site teams, delivering a high standard of customer service while supporting the successful delivery of maintenance and project works. On call rota - £150 a week plus minimum 4 hours at 1.5x for any call outs (If it falls on bank holidays you will get a day in lieu) Working hours - start at 7, finish at 15.30 - 8 hours on site (Some flex).

Qualifications & Requirements – Air Conditioning Engineer
Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer within commercial maintenance, service, and installation environments. Strong working knowledge of split, multi-split, VRV/VRF, and HVAC systems, including fault finding and repair. F-Gas Category 1 certification is essential. Relevant industry qualifications such as City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (or equivalent). (Desirable) Good understanding of health & safety regulations, compliance standards, and safe systems of work within commercial environments. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
