The Opportunity An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join a well-established and growing building services business. Working across a diverse portfolio of commercial properties, you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, repairing, and servicing a range of air conditioning and HVAC equipment within education, healthcare, and industrial environments.

This is a mobile role covering Kent, Sussex, and Surrey, with occasional travel to the Isle of Wight when required. The successful candidate will benefit from a strong support network, a varied workload, and genuine opportunities for ongoing development and career progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on air conditioning and HVAC systems
  • Attend reactive breakdowns and fault-finding calls
  • Diagnose and repair faults on a variety of AC equipment
  • Complete service reports, job sheets, and compliance paperwork accurately
  • Ensure all works are completed safely and in accordance with industry regulations and company procedures
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients and site stakeholders
  • Support minor installation and project works when required
  • Participate in an on-call rota, if applicable

Equipment You Will Be Working On Experience with some or all of the following is desirable:

  • Split Systems
  • Multi-Split Systems
  • VRV / VRF Systems
  • Fan Coil Units (FCUs)
  • Air Handling Units (AHUs)
  • Chillers
  • HVAC Controls and Associated Equipment

Requirements Essential

  • Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer
  • F-Gas Category 1 Certification
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Experience carrying out maintenance, servicing, and repair works within commercial environments
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively
  • Good communication and customer service skills

Desirable

  • Previous experience within education, healthcare, or industrial facilities
  • Installation experience across AC and HVAC systems
  • IPAF and/or PASMA Certification
  • Relevant HVAC or Mechanical qualifications
