Overview

Valoris Group are recruiting for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to support a growing client with works across Fareham and the surrounding areas.

This opportunity is open to both permanent engineers and long-term contractors. The role would suit an engineer with solid hands-on experience across air conditioning service, maintenance, fault finding, breakdowns and installation support.

The client is looking for someone reliable, technically strong and able to work independently on commercial and domestic air conditioning systems.

Role Responsibilities

As an Air Conditioning Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out service, maintenance and repair works on air conditioning systems
  • Fault finding and diagnosing issues across split systems, VRV, VRF and multi-split systems
  • Completing planned preventative maintenance visits
  • Attending breakdowns and reactive callouts where required
  • Supporting with installations, replacements and system upgrades
  • Working on commercial and domestic sites across Fareham and surrounding areas
  • Ensuring all works are completed safely, professionally and to a high standard
  • Completing job sheets, reports and any required compliance paperwork
  • Liaising with clients and site contacts in a professional manner
  • Working in line with F-Gas regulations, health and safety standards and company procedures
  • Identifying additional remedial works where required

Systems Experience

Experience working on the following would be highly beneficial:

  • Split air conditioning systems
  • Multi-split systems
  • VRV / VRF systems
  • Heat pumps
  • Commercial air conditioning systems
  • Domestic air conditioning systems
  • Controls and basic electrical fault finding
  • Planned maintenance and reactive breakdowns

Requirements

The successful Air Conditioning Engineer will need:

  • Previous experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer
  • F-Gas qualification, essential
  • Strong fault finding and diagnostic ability
  • Experience with service, maintenance and repair works
  • Installation experience would be beneficial
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Good communication skills when dealing with clients and customers
  • A professional, reliable and proactive approach
  • Own tools would be beneficial for contract engineers

Qualifications

Essential:

  • F-Gas Category 1 qualification
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Previous air conditioning engineering experience

Desirable

  • NVQ / City & Guilds in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
  • IPAF / PASMA
  • CSCS or SKILLcard
  • Manufacturer training
  • Electrical knowledge or basic controls experience

The package is negotiable depending on whether the successful candidate is looking for permanent employment or long-term contract work.

This would suit someone who is confident with fault finding, maintenance and repair work, and who is looking for either a stable permanent position or a long-term contract opportunity in the Fareham area.
