Acorn is a trusted provider of building engineering and maintenance services, delivering high-quality solutions across a diverse portfolio of commercial properties. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer to join our Operations team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated engineer to become part of a professional, supportive business that values technical expertise, customer service and career development.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, fault-finding and repair of a wide range of commercial air conditioning systems, ensuring a high standard of service delivery and customer satisfaction.

The Role
As a Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, fault-finding and repair of commercial air conditioning systems across a range of client sites throughout West and North West London.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on commercial air conditioning systems.
- Diagnosing faults and undertaking repairs on a variety of HVAC equipment and controls.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with industry regulations and best practice.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and site contacts.
- Working closely with Acorn's helpdesk, administration and management teams to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Producing clear and accurate service reports and recommendations for remedial works.
- Keeping Contracts Managers updated on job progress and site requirements.
- Participating in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota.

Essential
About You
- Proven experience within the Air Conditioning or HVAC industry.
- Strong knowledge of commercial air conditioning systems and associated controls.
- Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- F-Gas Category 1 qualification.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
Desirable
- Electrical qualification.
- Health & Safety training.
- Previous experience in a mobile engineering role.
