Air Conditioning Improver / Labourer
Full-time Permanent, Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire Based
Job Description
You will work alongside experienced engineers, assist with day-to-day site activities, help prepare materials and equipment, and play an important part in keeping jobs running efficiently and professionally.
This role is ideal for someone with site or labouring experience who wants to build a long-term future in HVAC. Even if you do not have direct air conditioning experience, we would still like to hear from you. The right attitude is key to learning and progress.
Main duties
- Assist engineers with air conditioning installations, servicing, maintenance, remedial works and fault finding
- Carry tools, materials, pipework, brackets, units, and associated equipment to work areas
- Help with drilling, mounting brackets, trunking, pipe runs, and condensate runs
- Support safe loading and unloading of vans and deliveries
- Keep work areas clean, tidy, and organised
- Assist with strip-out and removal of old equipment
- Prepare tools, materials, and equipment for each job
- Follow instructions from lead engineers and supervisors
- Work in line with company health and safety procedures
- Represent the company professionally on customer sites
- Carry out basic van stock and tool checks and report shortages or damaged items

What we are looking for
- Good work ethic and willingness to learn
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instruction
- Comfortable working on commercial, industrial, and occupied sites
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling
- Positive attitude and team-focused approach
Desirable, not essential
- Previous experience in air conditioning, construction, building services, or labouring
- CSCS card
- Experience using hand tools and power tools
- IPAF / PASMA
- Full UK driving licence
- Interest in progressing into a qualified AC engineer role
