Role Description
The Air Conditioning Install Engineer will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and maintaining air conditioning systems on commercial and residential projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and installation manuals
- Preparing materials, tools, and equipment for site work
- Installing air conditioning units and associated pipework
- Conducting system testing and ensuring commissioning compliance
- Observing safety and quality standards at all times
- Troubleshooting system issues and carrying out routine maintenance checks
- Completing accurate job documentation for client approval
- Coordinating with site managers, clients, and other trades

This is a full-time, on-site role based in and around Belfast, requiring regular travel to customer locations within the region as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Strong technical skills in:
- Air conditioning installation
- Commissioning
- Fault-finding (split, multi-split, VRF/VRV systems and related systems)
- Working knowledge of HVAC concepts, including:
- Ventilation
- Insulation
- Ref çevigaz tank proxy handling
- Basic electrical connections
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals, with strong problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to health and safety practices and quality-focused workmanship
- Relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship in:
- HVAC
- Refrigeration
- Mechanical engineering
- F-Gas certification (or equivalent) highly beneficial
- Previous experience in air conditioning or broader HVAC installation roles, ideally in commercial or industrial settings
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to:
- Work independently
- Manage time efficiently on site
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project locations as required
