Role Description

The Air Conditioning Install Engineer will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and maintaining air conditioning systems on commercial and residential projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and installation manuals
  • Preparing materials, tools, and equipment for site work
  • Installing air conditioning units and associated pipework
  • Conducting system testing and ensuring commissioning compliance
  • Observing safety and quality standards at all times
  • Troubleshooting system issues and carrying out routine maintenance checks
  • Completing accurate job documentation for client approval
  • Coordinating with site managers, clients, and other trades

This is a full-time, on-site role based in and around Belfast, requiring regular travel to customer locations within the region as needed.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong technical skills in:
    • Air conditioning installation
    • Commissioning
    • Fault-finding (split, multi-split, VRF/VRV systems and related systems)
  • Working knowledge of HVAC concepts, including:
    • Ventilation
    • Insulation
    • Ref çevigaz tank proxy handling
    • Basic electrical connections
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals, with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Commitment to health and safety practices and quality-focused workmanship
  • Relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship in:
    • HVAC
    • Refrigeration
    • Mechanical engineering
  • F-Gas certification (or equivalent) highly beneficial
  • Previous experience in air conditioning or broader HVAC installation roles, ideally in commercial or industrial settings
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to:
    • Work independently
    • Manage time efficiently on site
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project locations as required
