Air Export Operational Supervisor
Shannon
Mon-Fri, 37.5 hours per week
You don’t just manage tasks — you create structure, clarity, and momentum for your team. As an Operational Team Leader at DSV, you are responsible for the daily coordination and performance of our export airfreight operations. You ensure work is delivered efficiently, customer expectations are met, and your team is supported to succeed.

What will you be doing?
- Plan and coordinate daily workloads, ensuring fair and effective task allocation
- Organise cover for holidays, absences, and peak periods to maintain service continuity
- Support the team in prioritising urgent, time-sensitive shipments and KPI-critical tasks
- Ensure customer KPIs and service expectations are clearly understood and consistently delivered
- Monitor operational performance and act early when service levels are at risk
- Support performance recovery activities where additional focus is needed
- Maintain clear, accurate, and accessible work instructions for all customer lanes and processes
- Identify gaps, standardise ways of working, and ensure consistency across the team
- Act as the first point of escalation for operational and customer queries
- Resolve issues professionally and support the team in complex situations
- Identify scope creep and ensure work aligns with agreed customer requirements
- Highlight inefficiencies, cost risks, or uncharged activities to support commercial control
- Communicate operational updates clearly and ensure changes are implemented consistently
- Support your team through change and represent their feedback to management
- Identify training needs and support ongoing development across the team
- Promote cross-training and reduce reliance on individual knowledge
- Contribute to branch and departmental meetings with performance insights and operational updates

About you
- Experience in a Team Leader or senior operational role within airfreight
- Strong understanding of import/export processes and logistics operations
- Ability to lead, motivate, and support teams in a fast-paced environment
- A structured, detail-oriented approach with a focus on quality and performance
- Confidence handling escalations and making decisions under pressure
- Commercial awareness and understanding of customer service agreements
- Strong communication skills and ability to drive consistent ways of working
