Job Title: Air Export Operator

Location: Manchester, UK
Salary: £27,000 – £38,000 + Benefits (DOE)

A leading, established freight forwarder in Manchester is hiring an Air Export Operator to manage global air shipments end-to-end. If you thrive under airport cutoffs and want a role with strong career progression and direct carrier interaction, this is for you.

What You’ll Do:

  • Run the Desk: Take complete ownership of international air export files from booking through to global airport delivery.
  • Build Carrier Relationships: Negotiate spot rates and secure space allocations with airlines, GSAs, and overseas agents.
  • Master Compliance: Prepare accurate export documentation, including MAWBs, HAWBs, certificates of origin, and customs declarations.
  • Own Client Accounts: Deliver high-touch customer support with real-time flight tracking and proactive delay resolution.
  • Manage File Margins: Handle job costing, clear vendor charges, and execute accurate client billing to maximize profitability.

  • 2+ years of hands-on air export forwarding experience in the UK.
  • Solid grasp of Known Cargo regulations, Incoterms, and air export customs.
  • Familiarity with software like CargoWise, MultiFreight, or similar platforms.
  • Sharp organizational skills to meet strict airport cutoff deadlines.
