Are you an experienced airfreight professional ready to step into a leadership role?
We have an exciting opportunity for an Air Export Team Leader to join our dynamic Air Freight team based at our London Skyline Office, where you’ll play a key role in driving operational excellence and delivering first-class service to our customers.
As an Air Export Team Leader, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the air export operation, ensuring shipments are handled accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with all regulatory and customer requirements. This is a hands-on leadership position where you will manage workflows, support your team, and act as a key escalation point for customers and operational issues.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of export coordinators to deliver consistent, high-quality performance
- Manage daily workloads, ensuring all shipments meet airline timelines and customer deadlines
- Act as the primary escalation point for key customers, resolving issues quickly and professionally
- Oversee export documentation including checks, commercial invoices, and customs declarations
- Coordinate with airlines, general sales agents, and handling agents to secure bookings and manage uplift performance
- Ensure full compliance, security and regulations rules are managed and administered
- Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to improve service and operational performance
- Identify and drive continuous improvements across processes and service delivery
- Support onboarding, training, and ongoing development of team members
- Work closely with internal teams across warehouses, import, finance, and customer service

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
To be successful in your application you will have proven air export operations experience ideally within a freight forwarding or logistics environment and proven team leadership or supervisory experience, able to coach, develop and mentor your team.
You will have a strong understanding of airline requirements, cargo handling and export documentation and knowledge of compliance requirements including DG, customs and security regulations. You will be confident in using freight-based systems and airline portals.
It goes without saying that you will be a natural communicator, capable of building effective internal and external relationships, able to influence, problem solve and negotiate when needed.

Due to the nature of the role and security clearance requirements it is essential for the successful candidate to have resided in the UK for a minimum of 5 years.
