Location: Newcastle, NE11 Area

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm (1-hour lunch) Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (with potential for permanent role)

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Air Export Operator to join their busy Freight Forwarding team based in Newcastle. This is a great opportunity for someone with Air Export experience, available to start immediately, with the possibility of long-term employment.

What You’ll Do

Working in a fast-paced logistics environment, you will handle Air Export shipments from booking through departure, ensuring:

  • Efficient freight movement
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Full compliance with all export procedures

Key Responsibilities:

-Manage Air Export shipments from initial booking to departure.

-Prepare and process Air Export documentation with accuracy.

-Liaise with:

  • Customers
  • Airlines
  • Overseas agents
  • Transport providers

-Arrange bookings and coordinate collections.

-Ensure export documentation is completed correctly and on time.

-Assist with export customs procedures.

-Monitor shipments and provide regular updates to customers.

-Quickly resolve any operational issues.

-Complete customer billing and maintain accurate shipment records.

-Ensure all operational files align with company procedures and KPIs.

What You Need

  • Essential:

    • Previous experience in Air Export Freight Forwarding.
    • Strong knowledge of Air Export procedures and documentation.
  • Desirable:

    • Experience with CDS customs entries.
    • Proven communication & customer service skills.
    • Organisational prowess to handle multiple shipments simultaneously.
    • High attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (or equivalent IT systems).
