Vista Aircraft Maintenance
Vista Aircraft Maintenance provides both line and base maintenance for the fleet. The team ensures aircraft safety, reliability, and availability through rigorous standards, proactive maintenance, and a global network of facilities.
Working across different specialties, VAM prepares aircraft for every flight with a focus on precision, quality, and compliance. By maintaining the highest standards in both safety and attention to detail, the team plays a critical role in ensuring consistent fleet performance and a seamless client experience.

Aircraft Detailer Role
As an Aircraft Detailer at Vista Aircraft Maintenance Farnborough (VAMF), you will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of aircraft presentation. This position is responsible for delivering thorough and professional detailing services that enhance both the aesthetic and operational performance of aircraft. From interior deep cleans to exterior polishing and brightwork, your work will directly contribute to passenger satisfaction and aircraft efficiency.
You will be expected to work with precision, follow safety protocols, and uphold company standards while using specialized equipment and techniques. This role requires a strong attention to detail, good time management, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a dynamic hangar environment.
Your Responsibilities

Responsible for providing a thorough, efficient, and professional detailing service including but not limited to:
- Light aircraft interior cleaning
- Deep aircraft interior cleaning
- Leather cleaning and reconditioning
- Carpet extraction, cleaning, and spot removal
- Brightwork polishing and finishing
- Aircraft paint restoration, polishing, and cutting back.

Interior Detail:
- Clean seats, windows, window shades, seat frames, seating trays, personal monitors, cup holders, vacuum under seating area, and center aisle.

Exterior Detail:
- Clean exterior passenger fuselage entrance way and window
- Clean wings, flaps, and leading edge
- Clean rear fuselage, stabilizer, and elevators
- Clean front fuselage and cockpit windshields
- Clean landing gear, gear compartment, and engine rear thrust reverser area.

Bright Work:
- Able to use orbital machining buffer after training, polish, and shine all leading edges and metallic surfaces.

Cutting back:
- Scratch removal and corrosion removal.

Must become familiar with various aircraft and the detailing requirements of each.

Responsible for the correct use and care of company equipment.

Must work in accordance with all company policies, procedures, and processes - always giving special consideration to health & safety.

Must ensure that the working area and hangar are left clean, tidy, and safe post any detailing activities.

Any other task in line with the role as required by VAMF in order to provide a full and efficient aircraft detailing service.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Essential:
- Full, clean UK driving license.
- High attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
- Able to work well as part of a team.
- Good Time Management skills.
- Awareness and understanding of health and safety in the workplace and individual responsibilities in this regard.
Desirable:
- PC Literate to enable use of Microsoft Office to a basic level.
- Knowledge of ‘Human Factors’, human performance, and limitations.
- Able to understand work orders, work cards, and refer to and use applicable maintenance data.
