About the Role
Aircraft Structural Fitters (CAT A) are required to work onsite with our client in Gosport, Hampshire. This role involves maintaining and modifying structural components on aircraft, with a preference for helicopter experience—though alternative recent structures experience will be considered.
You will be responsible for tasks including:
- Modification installation
- Rectifying structural components
- Working with materials such as riveted sections, SMWI (Shaped Metal Welding Intensive) and composite structures
- Rotary (helicopter) experience is a plus though not mandatory

Responsibilities
- Perform modification, installation, and rectification operations on aircraft structures
- Handle rivets, SMWI, and composite materials during repairs and updates
- Comply with all safety protocols (Human Factors, EWIS, Fuel Tank Safety)
- Work on-site with your client, including occasional weekend availability
- Maintain basic aircraft security clearance requirements
Requirements
- Must have completed an Aircraft Apprenticeship and have your original qualification papers
- Preference for helicopter experience, but recent structures experience will also be considered
- Basic security clearance is mandatory for this role
- Must hold/obtain:
- Human Factors certification
- EWIS (Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems) certification
- Fuel Tank Safety certification (if successful in the application process)
- Must be available for 0–20 hours overtime (typically 40–60 hours total per week, including weekends—though overtime is not guaranteed)
- Willingness to undergo IR35 review prior to onboard

Contract Notes
- Hours: Basic 37 per week with up to 60 hours (including weekends) depending on requirements
- Rate: To be discussed during the application process
- Contract Term: Ongoing, dependent on customer demand
