Aviation Recruitment experts Optime are searching for Customer Hosts to join a well-respected and successful client at Gatwick Airport. This is an exciting opportunity to represent a major airline.
What's on offer:
- Rate of pay: £13.90 per hour
- Shift Pattern: 4 on / 2 off rolling rota
- Hours per week: 30 hours per week (average)
- Shift Times: Between 03:00am and 9:00pm
- Weekly Pay: (every Friday)
- Temp to Perm: (performance based)
- Free Parking
Key Duties:
- Be the face of the airline giving a great first instruction.
- Deliver excellent customer service throughout the passenger journey.
- Welcome and assist passengers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Support passengers using self-service baggage drop machines.
- Check passports and travel documents to ensure passengers meet airline and destination requirements.
- Ensure hand baggage meets airline size and weight restrictions.
- Process excess baggage payments accurately.
- Follow all airline check-in procedures and airport security requirements.
- Direct passengers to the correct departure areas and answer any questions they may have.
- You will be required to stand for the duration of your shift.

Shifts:
- The airport operates 7 days per week, and you will work a 4 on / 2 off rolling rota.
- Average 30 hours per week.
- Shifts will vary between 6 & 9 hours in length.
- Shifts between 03:00am and 9:00pm.
- (Shift patterns may be subject to change.)
- An Example: 4 early shifts, 2 days off, 4 afternoon/late shifts, 2 days off, and repeat.

Requirements:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Right to Work in the UK.
- Happy to stand for long periods.
