Sales Assistant at WHSmith
As a Sales Assistant, you’ll provide exceptional customer service, working independently or as part of a team to uphold our store standards. Our customers and colleagues should leave proud of the experience they share with us.
Airport-Site Requirements
To qualify for an airport location, you’ll need to meet the following conditions:
- 5 years’ continuous references – You must provide 5 years’ worth of employment or education references without any gaps to gain an airport pass.
- Criminal Records Bureau Check – Completed by WHSmith if your application is successful.
- Photographic ID – Must include a passport or a UK driving licence.
- Working Hours – 22.5 hours per week, with shifts starting as early as 4am and ending as late as 10pm, including weekends. Flexibility is a must.
What Being a Sales Assistant Involves
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering exceptional customer service to every visitor.
- Stock replenishment and ensuring the store remains tidy, engaging, and easy to navigate for shoppers.
- Maintaining high standards of display and visual merchandising to enhance the shopping experience.
- Collaborating with colleagues and supporting your team effectively.
