Airside Waste Collector Drivers - Bristol Airport
Aviation Recruitment experts Optime are searching for Airside Waste Collector Drivers to join a well-respected and successful client at Bristol Airport. This job offers full-time hours and overtime opportunities. This is a very enjoyable role with a great company providing fantastic conditions and facilities.
PLEASE NOTE: A Full UK Manual driving licence is required for this role, with no more than three points.
What's on Offer
- Rate of Pay: £13.00 per hour and once successful completion of training, there will be an additional £2.50 per shift increase.
- Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off
- Shifts: Example times below.

Key Duties
- Consistently deliver the highest level of customer service to cabin crew and airline staff.
- Collect waste and recycling directly from aircraft, ensuring prompt and efficient removal.
- Carry out ad hoc cleaning tasks to support operational needs.
- Correctly segregate waste and cleaning materials in line with recycling and environmental guidelines.
- Ensure strict compliance with both airline and airport policies and procedures.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and secure working environment at all times.
- Report any safety concerns, hazards, or irregularities immediately.

Important: This is a physically demanding role that includes extensive manual tasks such as bending, lifting, walking, and working in tight spaces.
Roster Examples
The airport is operational 365 days a year, 7 days a week so full flexibility is required.

4 on 4 off
- Day 1: 0645-1845
- Day 2: 0645-1845
- Day 3: 0645-1845
- Day 4: 0645-1845
Must be flexible to accommodate the shift pattern.

Requirements
- A Full UK Manual driving licence, with no more than three points endorsed, maintaining regular reports for inspection.
- Experience driving a large vehicle is essential.
- Must be able to demonstrate proficiency of both written and spoken English.
- Must be able to pass and maintain an Airside Pass and airside driving Permit, including competency checks where necessary. This will require a full 5-year work history, the right to work in the UK, and a DBS check.
- A positive, proactive “can do” attitude.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative, while being part of a team.
PLEASE NOTE: As this position is in the aviation industry, successful applicants must be able to provide 5-year checkable history.
