Role: Algorithm Engineer (Remote)

Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere)

Job Type: Contract

Payout: $45 - $65/hour

Role Overview:

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Competitive Programmer to work on a contract basis. The role involves solving complex algorithmic problems and optimizing code for performance in competitive programming environments. Candidates will participate in coding challenges and algorithm design competitions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and optimize algorithms to solve time-sensitive computational problems.
  • Participate in structured coding competitions with strict time and scoring constraints.
  • Analyze problem requirements and constraints to determine optimal solution approaches.
  • Write efficient, clean, and well-documented code in programming languages such as C++, Python, or Java.
  • Collaborate with peers to review solutions and improve problem-solving strategies.
  • Maintain high performance under competitive pressure with consistent accuracy.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in competitive programming platforms such as Codeforces, AtCoder, or LeetCode.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures including trees, graphs, heaps, and hash tables.
  • Deep understanding of algorithmic paradigms such as dynamic programming, greedy methods, and divide-and-conquer.
  • Experience with competitive programming languages including C++, Python, or Java.
  • Ability to solve problems under time constraints with high accuracy.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Experience with mathematical problem-solving and number theory concepts.
  • Background in algorithmic competitions or related academic/professional work.
