# About the Role

The Allocator

The Allocator ensures effective and accurate allocation and replenishment of stock across stores to maintain optimal stock levels while supporting targeted sales. This role requires close collaboration with the Merchandising team to deliver the right products to the right locations at the right time, aligning with business plans and seasonal strategies.

### Responsibilities

  • Allocate new product lines from the depot to stores using planning data and historical sales data to ensure optimal stock levels per location.
  • Maintain accurate system setups for all styles to support seamless stock flow from depot to stores.
  • Demonstrate and uphold technical proficiency across all systems and processes relevant to the role.
  • Analyse weekly sales performance, including Rate of Sale (ROS) and bestseller trends, collaborating with the Stock Planning Team to identify next-step actions for priority stores and lines.
  • Prepare and deliver departmental reports and analyses to support the Store Stock Planning Team in decision-making.
  • Foster effective communication with Merchandising through regular meetings, promoting distribution strategies and ensuring alignment.
  • Ensure data integrity and timely reporting, maintaining organised and accurate records for all distribution activities.
  • Support team capability by training and developing new Allocators, reinforcing consistent standards and best practices.
  • Visit stores to assess the impact of allocations and replenishment, evaluating stock profiles for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain strong commercial awareness while staying informed about retail trends on the High Street and monitoring competitor activity.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
