Alpha exists to equip and serve the Church in its mission to help people to discover and develop a relationship with Jesus. This role will work as a member of the wider church facing team within Alpha UK. This role will primarily be focussed on building relationships with and working closely with churches in a designated region, offering on the ground support, encouragement and training. This role will work towards the acquisition, retention, and reactivation of churches in the North and Midlands of England.

Applications for this role will close on Sunday 9th August. The salary for this position is £25,000.

Church Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for Alpha activity within your designated region
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with church leaders, Alpha leaders and ministry teams
  • Proactively connect with churches running Alpha, providing ongoing support, training and encouragement
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve regional engagement, growth and retention goals
  • Gather and share stories of guest impact and church transformation from across the region

Growth & Acquisition

  • Develop relationships with new churches, networks and denominations to increase Alpha adoption
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand Alpha's reach within the region
  • Re-engage churches that have previously run Alpha and support them in restarting courses
  • Contribute to regional strategies that drive church acquisition, retention and reactivation

Events & Training

  • Promote, organise and deliver local Alpha training events
  • Represent Alpha at regional conferences, church gatherings and speaking engagements
  • Support churches in implementing best practices for running effective Alpha courses
  • Actively participate in regional events that raise awareness of Alpha's mission and resources

Administration & Data Management

  • Maintain accurate records and engagement data using Salesforce and other shared platforms
  • Support data cleansing activities, surveys, reporting and campaign follow-up
  • Complete regional administrative activities, including call rounds and information gathering
  • Ensure high standards of data quality and tracking across all regional activities

Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of Alpha
  • Familiarity with the HTB Network
  • Experience in running an Alpha Course
  • Familiar with CRM systems - data input, GDPR best practice, pulling reports
  • Excellent communication skills: face to face, by telephone and in writing
  • The ability to work with a wide range of people including young leaders, church leaders and, on occasion, senior leaders of denominations or Christian organisations
  • Confident at public speaking and presenting
