About Flexzo Teach
Flexzo Teach is a recruitment, safeguarding, and compliance platform that helps educational settings book education professionals directly. By eliminating third-party intermediaries, we ensure smoother communication and collaboration between schools and facilitators—like a modern alternative to traditional agencies.
We’re currently expanding our talent pool in Scunthorpe to support specialised learning environments. By registering, you’ll join a growing network of Alternative Provision (AP) Facilitators and gain access to short-term cover, long-term placements, and permanent roles across AP units, PRUs (Pupil Referral Units), and transition centres.

Typical Responsibilities
Your role may vary depending on the educational setting, but typically, you’ll:
- Implement personalised learning plans that align with the setting’s curriculum and the individual needs of learners.
- Maintain a safe and engaging environment using de-escalation techniques and positive behaviour support.
- Monitor progress using non-traditional assessment methods, providing constructive feedback to re-engage learners and build confidence.
- Adapt classroom activities to cater for Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ensuring all students can access the curriculum effectively.
- Work closely with SENCOs, social workers, and parents to provide holistic student welfare support.
Requirements
To thrive in Alternative Provision, you’ll need:
- A QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), QTLS (Qualified Teacher Learning & Skills), or a level 3+ qualification in Youth Work, Social Work, or Special Educational Needs.
- Proven experience working with children or young people with complex needs, including:
- SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) disorders
- ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)
- ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder)
- Certification in poor behaviour management strategies (e.g., Team-Teach, MAPA (Managing Apparently Pseudo-Absent Behaviour), or Price)** is highly desirable**.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt teaching methods based on the emotional state of the classroom.
- A valid right to work in the UK and an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate (or the commitment to obtain one).
- A patient, non-judgmental attitude and a strong commitment to re-engaging marginalised learners.

Pay & Rates
At Flexzo Teach, you set your own rate. Our platform allows you to define hourly or daily fees with full transparency for schools. While rates will vary depending on your role, experience, location, and demand, schools will see and decide whether to contact, book, or invite you for an interview.
