About the Role:
As an AM Warehouse Sortation Supervisor, you will play a key role in leading and optimizing daily parcel sortation operations within a fast-paced logistics environment. Responsible for overseeing warehouse performance during the morning shift, you will ensure the efficient sorting, processing, and dispatch of parcels while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.
This role combines strong leadership with operational expertise, requiring you to manage and develop warehouse teams, monitor performance against key operational targets, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, oversee driver briefings, enforce standard operating procedures, and ensure the warehouse operates efficiently and safely at all times.
The ideal candidate is an experienced supervisor with a background in logistics, warehouse, or parcel sortation operations, who thrives in a high-pressure environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional results through effective team leadership and process optimization.

📍 Location: Sea King Road, Lynx Trading Estate, Yeovil, BA20 2NZ
📅 Shift Pattern: Rolling 4on 4off
🕒 Hours: 05:30am - 16:00pm
💰 Salary: £31,000 - £34,000 depending on experience
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading Operational Excellence: Oversee and optimize daily warehouse operations, ensuring seamless execution across activities and departments.
- Driving High Performance: Develop and implement strategies to improve performance, reduce costs, and maximize efficiency; monitor KPIs for continuous improvement.
- Mastering Warehouse Flow: Ensure accurate sorting, processing, and dispatching of parcels, driving smooth operational flow from start to finish.
- Empowering Your Team: Lead, train, and inspire a high-performance warehouse team with mentorship and a positive working environment.
- Collaborating Across Teams: Work with other departments to ensure effective communication and smooth operations.
- Ensuring Consistency: Enforce adherence to SOPs to maintain consistency, efficiency, and quality.
- Prioritizing Safety: Maintain a strong focus on health and safety and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Managing the OLA Shift: Control all aspects of the OLA shift for productivity and performance.
- Managing Driver Briefings: Oversee driver pre- and post-shift briefings for clear communication and seamless operations.
- Maintaining a Top-Tier Warehouse Environment: Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Upholding Company Standards: Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain high operational standards and integrity.
- Weekend Engagement: Participate in weekend conference calls to stay aligned with operational developments.

What We Need From You:
- Proven Leadership: Significant supervisory experience, ideally in a parcel sortation or logistics warehouse, with understanding of automated sortation systems.
- Operational Expertise: Strong background in warehouse flow management and ability to optimize processes and drive efficiency.
- Inspirational Leadership: Excellent leadership and people management skills to inspire a diverse team.
- Strong Communicator: Effective communication across teams and departments.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in warehouse management systems and relevant technology tools.
- Thrives in High-Paced Environments: Ability to excel in a fast-moving, high-pressure setting with attention to detail.
- Commitment to Excellence: Passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
