Amazon Category Manager – Entertainment & Gaming
About the Role
Working for one of Europe’s leading licensed home and lifestyle businesses, you’ll partner with over 150 of the world’s biggest entertainment, gaming, sports, and lifestyle brands. As an Amazon Category Manager focused on Entertainment & Gaming, you will own the commercial performance and growth of your assigned category across Amazon.
You will develop and execute strategies to maximise sales, profitability, and market share across:
- Amazon Pan-EU (10 markets)
- Three Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) marketplaces
Reporting to the Head of Ecommerce, you’ll combine the commercial mindset of a retail buyer with a data-driven approach to category management.
Key Responsibilities
Using sales performance, Amazon search insights, customer behaviour, and market trends, you will:
- Build winning assortments
- Identify new growth opportunities
- Optimise category performance
As Amazon continues to grow as a key channel, the role focuses on:
- Driving category growth
- Unlocking new opportunities
- Strengthening the position as a world leader in licensed home and lifestyle products

Main Responsibilities
Category Ownership & Buying Strategy
- Own the commercial performance, assortment strategy, and profitability of your assigned Amazon category across Amazon Pan-EU (10 markets) and three FBA marketplaces.
- Work with a retail buyer’s mindset, balancing growth with long-term commercial viability.
Commercial Trading & Performance
- Fully manage sales performance, margin, and stock efficiency across Amazon Pan-EU (10 markets) and three FBA marketplaces.
Customer, Market & Search Insight
- Analyse Amazon performance data, including:
- Sales trends
- Conversion rates
- Customer behaviour
- Search insights
Amazon as a Retail Channel
- Treat Amazon as a core retail storefront, ensuring:
- The right product mix
- Optimal visibility
- Strong commercial strategy in each market
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Align with Category, Design, Brand, and Demand Planning teams to deliver a seamless process from product concept to sale.
Trend Leadership & Category Development
- Serve as a category expert in Entertainment & Gaming, including:
- Monitoring entertainment, gaming, pop culture, and consumer trends
- Identifying emerging commercial opportunities
- Exploring new brand collaborations, licensing, and product expansions

Knowledge & Skills Required
You must bring:
- A strong commercial acumen with the ability to:
- Identify trends
- Convert data insights into profitable category growth
- Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis for commercial decisions
- Experience managing Amazon marketplaces (preferably multiple European FBA operations—helpful but not critical)
- A sharp commercial mindset, with experience in sales, margin, and stock performance
- Confident data handling, including:
- Sales analysis
- Amazon search behaviour
- Market insights
- A strong understanding of retail buying principles, particularly in customer-led assortment building
- Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment
- Strategic but action-oriented thinking—able to execute at pace
- Strong communication and influencing skills with senior stakeholders
