Amazon Commercial Assistant
Location: Cambridge - Hybrid Role
Salary: £28,000 to £32,000 depending on experience
Running Point Recruitment has partnered with a fast-growing ecommerce business that has built an impressive reputation for growing brands across Amazon marketplaces throughout the UK and Europe.
We are looking for an Amazon Commercial Assistant to join a growing commercial team, supporting the performance of a portfolio of home audio categories across Amazon. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with hands-on Amazon experience who enjoys the commercial side of ecommerce, using data and insight to drive sales, profitability, and growth.
Working closely with the Commercial Manager, you'll play a key role in managing the day-to-day trading performance of multiple Amazon product categories, helping identify opportunities, supporting promotional activity, and working with internal teams to deliver continued marketplace growth.
What you'll be doing
- Support the commercial performance of one or more Amazon product categories across UK and European marketplaces.
- Monitor sales, traffic, conversion, pricing, margins, and profitability, identifying opportunities to improve performance.
- Analyse trading data and recommend actions to increase revenue, product visibility, and commercial performance.
- Support pricing, promotional activity, deals, vouchers, and seasonal trading campaigns.
- Help coordinate new product launches across Amazon marketplaces.
- Support Amazon SEO through keyword optimisation and listing improvements.
- Work alongside the Amazon Advertising team to understand how PPC performance influences category growth.
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing movements, and wider marketplace trends.
- Work closely with content, product, stock, and commercial teams to ensure products are positioned for success.
- Support catalogue health, ensuring listings remain accurate, compliant, and fully optimised.
- Produce regular reports and commercial insights to support business decisions.

About you
You'll already have experience working with Amazon and understand the commercial drivers behind marketplace success. You're analytical, organised, and commercially minded, with the confidence to use data to make recommendations that improve performance.

You'll also have:
- Hands-on experience using Amazon Seller Central.
- A good understanding of Amazon SEO and listing optimisation.
- Experience supporting Amazon pricing, promotions, and commercial trading.
- An understanding of Amazon Advertising and how PPC impacts sales and profitability.
- Strong analytical skills with confidence using Excel or Google Sheets.
- A good understanding of commercial metrics including revenue, margin, and profitability.
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
- The ability to build strong working relationships across different teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with tools such as Helium 10, Pacvue, or Seller Legend would be beneficial but is not essential.
