Ambient Warehouse Team Manager - Willenhall Depot

Rotating Shifts: 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm

We are looking for an experienced Team Manager in our Ambient Warehouse operation, who is motivated, friendly, hard-working and passionate. The ideal candidate has the drive and motivation to support and engage a diverse team. You will be required to support and assist the Operations Manager with the organisation and control of efficient and profitable operations within the depot.

Some Key Accountabilities

  • To support the Operations Manager with the supervision of effective operations and adherence to H&S legislation
  • To carry out supervisory tasks as required by the Operations Manager
  • To cover areas of operations when low on resources as requested by the Operations Manager to ensure consistent operational performance
  • To ensure effective operations in the temporary absence of the Operations Manager
  • To assist with staff scheduling, including absence management and performance
  • To assist the Operations Manager in the effective use and maintenance of all equipment and machinery

  • Good level of Maths and English and working knowledge of Microsoft programmes - Word and Excel is desirable
  • Warehousing experience essential
  • Excellent communication skills and the capacity to build good working relationships with colleagues and customers
  • Strong organisation and time management skills essential
  • Ability to deal with conflict in an effective and professional manner
  • Shows a commitment to ongoing personal development and training, always striving to improve
  • First line Management experience and experience in managing people in a food distribution environment is essential
  • IT Literate and knowledge of using a WMS system would be an advantage
