This Project Manager opportunity offers the chance to play a key role within a growing semiconductor design environment where you’ll combine project leadership with office management responsibilities. You’ll have the autonomy to drive projects forward, support a talented engineering team and help shape the day-to-day operation of a collaborative design office.
Our client develops advanced semiconductor technology and is looking for someone who can bring structure to complex engineering programmes. Rather than providing technical direction, you’ll work alongside experienced design engineers to ensure projects remain on track, risks are identified early and teams have everything they need to deliver successfully.
Reporting to the Engineering Leadership team, as the Project Manager, you’ll oversee both project delivery and the management of a small Southampton office of approximately ten engineers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
