Senior Project Manager (Semiconductor Design)
The Project Manager opportunity offers the chance to play a key role within a growing semiconductor design environment, combining project leadership with office management responsibilities. You’ll drive projects forward, support a high-performing engineering team, and help shape the operational workflow of a collaborative design office in Southampton.
About the Role
Our client specialises in advanced semiconductor technology and seeks a structured, results-driven leader to oversee engineering programmes. This role requires strong collaboration skills rather than technical expertise—you’ll coordinate with design engineers, ensure timelines are met, risks are mitigated early, and teams have the resources needed to succeed.
As the Project Manager, you’ll report to Engineering Leadership, overseeing both project delivery and management of a small Southampton office of around ten engineers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
