The role…

As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining data products that support research across banking, payments, insurance, and wealth management. You'll transform complex datasets into intuitive, interactive Tableau dashboards, enabling internal teams and external clients to explore market trends and insights.

Working closely with analysts, you'll design and enhance dashboards, ensure data quality, and deliver engaging visualisations using large market datasets, survey data, and proprietary research. As the team's Tableau expert, you'll also promote best practices, provide guidance to colleagues, and help drive continuous improvements to our data products.

This role is central to delivering high-quality, data-driven insights that support decision-making for clients ranging from start-ups to global blue-chip organisations, helping to maintain GlobalData's reputation as a leading provider of market intelligence.

What You’ll Be Doing…

  • Design, build, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards across Banking, Payments, Insurance, and Wealth Management research.
  • Independently develop new dashboards and data visualisations from concept through to delivery.
  • Revamp and enhance existing dashboards by improving usability, functionality, performance, and visual design.
  • Maintain and update existing dashboard suite, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and timely refreshes.
  • Manipulate, clean, validate, and analyse large datasets, including market data, survey data, and proprietary research datasets.
  • Collaborate with research analysts to understand business requirements and translate analytical needs into effective data visualisations.
  • Develop and implement best practices for dashboard design, data modelling, and visual storytelling.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity across all dashboard products and underlying datasets.
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting processes and improve data workflows.
  • Support the development of new data products and interactive client deliverables.
  • Act as the team’s Tableau subject matter expert, providing guidance and troubleshooting support.
  • Train and mentor colleagues in Tableau functionality, dashboard development, and data visualisation best practices.
  • Continuously explore new Tableau features and data visualisation techniques to improve the team’s capabilities.

What We’re Looking For…

  • Have at least 1 year of experience in a data analyst, business intelligence, or analytics role within financial services, market intelligence, research, or a similar analytical environment.
  • Have hands-on experience with Tableau, including building sophisticated interactive dashboards from scratch.
  • Demonstrate strong expertise in dashboard design, data visualisation principles, and user experience.
  • Have advanced Excel skills and experience manipulating large, complex datasets.
  • Be experienced in cleaning, validating, transforming, and managing market and survey data.
  • Have strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within large datasets.
  • Be comfortable working with multiple data sources and ensuring data quality across reporting outputs.
  • Be highly organised, capable of managing multiple dashboard projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
  • Be a proactive problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Be confident working independently while collaborating effectively with research analysts and other stakeholders.
  • Have excellent communication skills and be able to explain technical concepts to non-technical colleagues.
  • Have experience training or supporting colleagues in Tableau or other data visualisation tools.
