Analyst Role: Decarbonization & Energy Transition

The Role

This analyst role provides the successful candidate with an opportunity to undertake strategic research focused on decarbonization and the energy transition. Our research explores how firms are adapting to a changing energy landscape—driven by electrification, decarbonization, and geopolitical risk—and how software and solutions can aid their transition.

Excelling in this role demands:

  • Enthusiasm for how technology improves business outcomes
  • Experience in producing high-quality written deliverables
  • Ability to collaborate on client-facing engagements

Top candidates will bring ambition to undertake a blend of qualitative and quantitative research, evolving through a structured 24-month Analyst Training Framework leading to growth into a senior analyst position.

The position offers a salary of £34K–£36K (depending on experience) plus a competitive quarterly bonus scheme.

This is a hybrid role, starting with 3 days in-office during the probation period and reducing to 2 days thereafter.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will be responsible for:

  • Conducting research and creating original reports and presentations on energy transition and decarbonization software and services, following Verdantix’s established methodologies.
  • Supporting and coordinating research across the team.
  • Assisting internal consultants with advisory services on topics such as sustainability, energy technology, and energy systems.
  • Managing and publishing the external decarbonization/newsletter.
  • Building quantitative models for sizing and forecasting software and services markets.
  • Leveraging large language models (LLMs) to enhance digital product outputs.
  • Supporting client workshops, consulting projects, and relationship-building with Verdantix clients and decision-makers.
  • Attending industry events to strengthen market presence.
  • Contributing to marketing efforts, including writing blogs and engaging in social media.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
