Analyst, Account Management – BIN Sponsorship & Banking as a Service

Title & Overview
Analyst, Account Management (BIN Sponsorship & Banking as a Service – BaaS) An opportunity to join an agile team delivering significant value to the UK&I business and fintech ecosystem.
This role focuses on identifying and nurturing partnerships with organisations enabling BIN Sponsorship and Banking as a Service (BaaS) models for new-to-market fintechs and businesses. Working closely with Director, BIN Sponsorship & Banking as a Service, you’ll support rapid operational and technical problem-solving while strategically managing commercial relationships.
About the Role
Reporting to the Director, BIN Sponsorship & Banking as a Service, this position involves:
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders across Mastercard (such as Sales, Risk, Franchise, AML, Finance and Legal) and external partners to deliver seamless solutions for fintech propositions.
- Supporting new market payment solutions by coordinating with account managers, handling daily operational activities, and driving commercial strategy.
- Developing long-term partnerships with key BIN Sponsors and BaaS providers while ensuring compliance with Mastercard rules and obligations.

Core Responsibilities:
Customer & Partnership Management
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with high-growth fintechs and banking partners.
- Manage the operational and commercial relationships of high-value BIN Sponsorship and BaaS clients.
- _support customer onboarding and day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth delivery of new payment products.
Compliance & Risk Mitigation
- Ensure strict adherence to Mastercard rules and navigate internal manuals for client guidance.
- Coordinate with regulatory teams (AML, Risk, Finance and Legal) to resolve compliance challenges.
Business & Opportunity Development
- Identify new growth opportunities and assist in preparing business cases and commercial proposals (for new and renewal clients).
- Support negotiations between Mastercard and partners to align incentives and strategies.
- Streamline workflows by identifying operational gaps and recommending process improvements.
Problem-Solving & Collaboration
- Lead cross-functional projects to resolve client challenges efficiently with obstacle-solving speed and creativity.
- Act as the main point of contact between Mastercard’s internal teams (BDF, Risk, Franchise, etc.) and customers.
Process Optimisation
- Continuously enhance account management processes to improve productivity and client satisfaction.
