Analyst - Assistant Relationship Manager
Work at the Heart of Client Relationships
With some of the UK’s leading corporates, you’ll gain hands-on exposure to complex lending transactions and a broad range of wholesale banking products, while partnering with senior stakeholders across the bank. Ideal for those who are curious, commercially minded, and eager to grow in a client-facing environment.
The Team – UK Corporate Sector Coverage
You’ll join ING Wholesale Banking’s Sectors organisation, working with FTSE100–250 clients primarily with a European footprint. Deliver integrated corporate and investment banking solutions in a collaborative, international environment.
- Partner with Parent Account Managers and product specialists across:
- Lending
- Capital markets
- Transaction services
- Combine sector expertise, a strong global network, and a focus on sustainability.
Roles and Responsibilities
You’ll support client relationship development, deal execution, and strategic planning:

Relationship Management
- Prepare client plans, briefing materials, and pitch presentations
- Coordinate and follow up on client meetings, including call reports & tracking actions
- Prepare prospect overviews and screening processes

Client Origination & Engagement
- Identify opportunities and analyse market/client developments
- Assist in onboarding prospective clients

Deal Execution & Compliance
- Draft commercial proposals, credit applications, and internal approval materials
- Support KYC (Know Your Customer) processes for compliant client setups
- Maintain accurate client documentation and internal deal communications

Essential Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in a numerate discipline:
- Economics, Finance, Banking, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
- Excellent written & spoken English
- Strong communication and presentation skills
