The Team

A&M Global Transaction Analytics (GTA) provides data analytics services to clients to uncover maximum actionable insights to support their M&A, divestment and investment strategy. GTA is a global team which leverages market leading technology, advanced analytics capabilities, and A&M’s operational, functional and industry expertise to drive relevant business insights. Our global team provides analytics as a service to private equity and corporates across the transaction lifecycle.

As an Analyst in the GTA team within Transaction Advisory Group (TAG), you will have the opportunity to work with our highly motivated and effective team of professionals on a variety of interesting projects across different industries including but not limited to manufacturing, distribution, consumer, retail, restaurants, businesses, and industrial services as well as healthcare, software & technology and financial services. You will gain exposure to our integrated due diligence approach that goes beyond traditional quality of earning analyses and focus on key value drivers for sponsors and lenders. Our integrated due diligence approach combines our deep operational, functional and industry expertise to drive value throughout the investment lifecycle by providing insightful data-driven analysis.

How You Will Contribute

As an Analyst, you will:

  • Assist with core transaction analytics, helping to identify key financial performance and operating trends as well as insights thru applied data analytics.
  • Assess the quality of the target company’s financial and operational datasets.
  • Analyze underlying financial statement performance drivers via key transactional and operational data. Clean, transform, and model data into meaningful information used to drive discussions with target management through observations to insights and conclusions.
  • Conduct detailed data analysis to support transaction advisory services such as vendor and buyer financial due diligence, exit-readiness, financial reporting missions.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to develop data-driven insights and recommendations for clients.
  • Utilize advanced data analytics tools and techniques to analyze large datasets and identify key trends and patterns.
  • Prepare comprehensive investigative analysis, assist in the construction of deal-oriented reports and presentations using data visualization tools to communicate findings to clients and stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of data analytics strategies to enhance the effectiveness of transaction advisory services.
  • Participate in meetings and conference calls with target company management and with client personnel.

Qualifications

  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • 2:1 or higher undergraduate degree in STEM, Computer Science, Economics or a related field of study.
  • A-level (or equivalent) minimum grades of ABB
  • Business level English is a pre-requisite and any other European languages are desirable
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and financial modeling.
  • Proficiency in ETL and data analytics tools such as Alteryx, SQL, Python, R, or similar
  • Experience in a data visualization tool such as Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik, or similar is a plus
  • Prior experience in transaction advisory services or a related field is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
