Are you curious about how data can help answer real business questions?
Do you enjoy breaking down complex problems and turning insight into action?
Finance Analytics sits at the intersection of Finance, Commercial and Data Analytics. We partner with teams across the business to understand what is really driving performance — and what Sky should do next. Our work supports decisions that materially affect revenue, cost, customer behaviour and profit. That could mean identifying opportunities to reduce churn, understanding the impact of pricing decisions, analysing customer engagement, or finding new ways to improve commercial performance.
We welcome applicants from different backgrounds and career stages, and you’ll be joining a team that brings together people from finance, commercial and data analytics backgrounds, with a wide range of experiences and perspectives.
What connects us is curiosity: we enjoy solving difficult problems, working with data, building strong partnerships and turning complex analysis into clear insight that helps Sky make better commercial decisions. If you’re curious, analytical and keen to learn, this would be a great fit.
What You’ll Do
- Work on high-impact commercial and financial questions where data helps Sky make better decisions
- Shape ambiguous business problems into clear analytical questions
- Find, analyse and connect data from multiple sources to understand key performance drivers
- Use tools such as SQL and Tableau to analyse, manipulate and visualise complex datasets
- Turn analysis into clear, objective and timely recommendations for stakeholders
- Explain what the numbers mean, why they matter and what the business should do next
- Build strong partnerships across Sky to influence decisions and improve performance
- Improve how the team works by simplifying repeatable activity and using automation or AI where it adds value
- Develop your skills, explore new tools and contribute to an environment where everyone can do their best work
What you’ll bring
We know great analysts can come from different backgrounds. You do not need to meet all of the desirable criteria to apply. We’re most interested in how you think, how you solve problems and how you use data to make better decisions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
