Analyst – Private Fund Placement & Advisory

About the Role

Join an independent, boutique private fund placement and advisory business headquartered in London, with a dynamic team in continental Europe. This client-facing role supports primary fundraisers, from early-stage diligence and analysis to executing GP-led transactions (e.g., restructuring and formation of continuation vehicles).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing high-quality fundraising materials, including detailed track record and portfolio analysis
  • Support investor due diligence processes, including crafting responses to due diligence requests
  • Contribute to GP-led transactions, including:
    • Portfolio analysis
    • Preparation of investor information packages
    • Tracking investor feedback
    • Producing reports for private equity, private debt, and infrastructure fund managers
  • Manage data rooms for both primary and secondary mandates, including documentation and investor access
  • Conduct market mapping and research on private equity, private debt, and infrastructure fund manager landscapes
  • Support planning and coordination of client meetings, including:
    • Preparation of meeting materials
    • Attendance at meetings
    • Follow-up actions
  • Maintain internal databases and contribute to weekly client reporting
  • Input into CRM systems

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in fund placement, investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, or transaction advisory (preferably at a Big 4 firm)
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Highly self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills in a small, fast-paced team
  • Experience producing pitchbooks and investor marketing materials with rigorous attention to detail
  • Understanding of private equity processes is beneficial
  • Academic background alignment with financial/analytical training
