Job Description
What is the opportunity?
We have a great opportunity for an Analyst to join our team in London. This role will be responsible for providing Investment Banking services (M&A, ECM, DCM, and leverage finance) to corporate and private equity clients within the Mining & Metals sector
What will you do?
- Assist in the marketing and execution of M&A, equity financing, and debt financing transactions, working closely in cooperation with local and global teams across the Mining & Metals sector
- Assist in preparation of high-quality marketing pitchbooks and related materials
- Build comprehensive financial models and perform valuation analysis to support mandated deals and client presentations
- Conduct in-depth research and financial analysis
- Gather, organise, and synthesise public market data and financial information from multiple sources to support deal teams
- Produce and maintain various databases
What do you need to succeed?
Must have
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with academic coursework in finance, accounting, or a related quantitative discipline/equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in the Investment Banking Sector or Transaction Advisory (mining sector/M&A transaction experience will be preferred)
- A strong understanding of the sector, including key players, strategic dynamics, and current industry challenges would be desirable
- Comprehensive understanding of the valuation approaches typically used in the sector
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to work effectively within collaborative, fast-paced team environments
