Duties & Responsibilities

The London based M&A Healthcare team is seeking to hire an Analyst to join its growing team. Successful candidates have strong cognitive and interpersonal abilities, want to develop their professional and personal skills, and are motivated by the prospect of building a leading M&A advisory firm.

The Analyst position at Lincoln International provides an excellent opportunity to work in a demanding, yet supportive, team-oriented environment. In addition to mastering the financial analysis and research skills typical for the position, an Analyst at Lincoln International learns about and becomes involved in a transaction from start to finish. The Analyst serves as the analytical anchor for his/her deal team and is responsible for preparing, completing and ensuring the accuracy of all financial modeling and analysis. The Analyst is expected to interpret the results of his/her financial analysis, pose questions and draw conclusions.

As an Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting transaction execution and contributing to multiple projects. You will work closely with senior team members and have the following responsibilities:

  • Assist in collecting and analysing financial and commercial data to support transaction conclusions.
  • Preparation of company profiles and detailed market mapping to support deal origination and strategic analysis.
  • Contribute to drafting information memoranda and marketing materials, focusing on financial and numerical evidence.
  • Support the design and review of integrated operating models using best practices.
  • Help prepare client presentations, including credential packs and business development materials.
  • Assist in valuing public and private companies through methodologies including comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, discounted cash flow (DCF), and leveraged buyout (LBO) modelling, under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Conduct research on healthcare and pharma sectors, companies, and potential buyers.
  • Effective prompting and developing practical agentic workflows to enhance research, analysis, drafting and execution efficiency, while maintaining rigorous quality control, confidentiality and sound professional judgement.

  • 2-4 years of experience in M&A with strong deal exposure.
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial statements and valuation theory.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with research tools such as S&P Capital IQ, MergerMarket, and GainPro is a plus.
  • ACA, CFA or equivalent qualification of advantage.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a bonus.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and an interest in applying them to improve research, analysis and execution efficiency.
