About This Role

Wallbrook (part of Anthesis Group) is recruiting highly motivated graduates to join its investigative due diligence research team. Successful candidates should have completed (or be studying towards a) qualitative research degree—in history, politics, languages, or related fields—and demonstrate business proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese.

Candidates with experience/interests in China or the Asia-Pacific region are particularly encouraged to apply.

  • Location: UK (London)
  • Start Date: January 2027 or sooner (flexible)

  • Develop your specialism over time, driven by your language skills and regional expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct multi-jurisdiction due diligence research, analysing diverse sources for serious compliance risks.

  • Produce quantitative and qualitative reports on findings, covering areas like:

    • Corruption
    • Political exposure
    • Sanctions
    • Sanitised integrity violations
  • Transition into region-specific analysis aligned with language and expertise, while cultivating expertise in regulatory risks.

  • Collaborate with senior staff on projects, synthesising insights in cross-border Risk Landscapes using sound judgment on sources and data.

  • Advance into client-facing mentorship, training roles, and business development as professional expertise grows.

Core Requirements

  • Business-level Mandarin or Cantonese proficiency (other languages a plus).
  • Interest in investigations, compliance, and international affairs (formal or practical research experience ideal).
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited university, keen for continuous learning. -exceptional command of written and spoken English (for business communications).
  • Attention to detail, fluent open-source source navigation, excellent analytical writing.
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and balance fast-paced research environments.

  • Exchange rates plug-ins, FX platforms (e.g., Reuters Eikon), to access real-time market data, historical trends, and country economics.
  • Prior commercial research experience highly desirable.
