Restructuring Analyst

Our Restructuring professionals serve as financial advisors to companies, financial sponsors, lenders, creditors, and other interested parties in distressed situations across virtually every industry and every situation throughout the business life cycle.

We are seeking a Restructuring Analyst with a strong interest in advisory work as their primary focus, while also being able to support insolvency assignments when required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the team with the day-to-day procedures involved in both Restructuring Advisory engagements and formal Insolvency appointments. ACCA study support will be included alongside your client-facing responsibilities, and you’ll be getting hands-on client experience from your first day.


Navigating Responsibilities

General Duties

  • Demonstrate organisation, ownership, and proactive management of tasks
  • Meet deadlines and communicate progress clearly
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Work with senior staff on high-level decision-making

On Advisory Assignments

  • Assist with financial analysis
  • Review short-term cash flow forecasts
  • Draft independent business reviews
  • Assist with options analysis for distressed businesses

On Formal Insolvency Assignments (as Required)

  • Draft information memoranda and assist with business/asset sales
  • Maximise returns to creditors by investigating companies' affairs and realising assets
  • Prepare statutory documentation and correspondence
  • Manage case administration and statutory compliance
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with lenders, asset agents, and solicitors
  • Visit clients' premises and liaise with management and employees

Essential Traits

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Ability to develop and drive relationships with individuals across all industries
  • Ability to master new tasks quickly while demonstrating strong attention to detail
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work on multiple assignments
  • Ability to manage rapidly changing assignments and work well under pressure
  • Strong team player, comfortable working in a team environment across multiple case teams
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to assess and manage risk, deal with ambiguity, and understand commercial drivers of work outcomes
  • Relevant degree, achieving 2:1 or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
