Role Purpose
The LPS Analyst will report to the LPS Data Lead, providing hands-on analytical and data support across LPS's monoline facilities and wider Lockton portfolio solutions initiatives. The primary focus of the role will be to:
- Continue building and maintaining the data infrastructure underpinning Lockton Portfolio Solutions monoline facilities.
- Support opportunity scoping through the interrogation and modelling of premium and claims data.
- Support the Data Lead in the preparation of high-quality data packs and submissions for insurance markets.
- Build and maintain reporting and dashboards to monitor the performance of LPS facilities.
- Provide analytical support across a range of LPS strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Monoline Facilities – Data & Analytics
- Extract, interrogate and analyse data to support the Portfolio solutions Lead in internal scoping discussions with relevant stakeholders, using BI and analytics to identify opportunities and support the PS Lead.
- Produce meaningful BI and reporting to assess the profitability and scope of monoline facility opportunities.
- Continue to develop and build on the data infrastructure for the monoline facility initiative.
Market Submissions & Engagement
- Work with Data Lead to produce professional data packs for submission to market in Excel, PowerPoint and PDF, including a range of analytical exhibits.
- Respond to ad-hoc data requests from markets in a timely and accurate manner.
- Support data lead on maintaining robust reporting on key facility metrics, ideally delivered via interactive dashboards, including:
- Indexation: percentage of in-scope business placed versus not placed.
- Premium and claims performance by team and risk code.
- Aggregate accumulations versus limits and modelled loss estimates versus limits (using RMS / AIR outputs).
- Ensure reporting remains current and reliable as facilities grow and data sources evolve.

Must-Have Skills & Experience
- End-to-end development of Power BI reports, including ETL, data modelling, DAX expression writing and report creation.
- Proficiency in SQL development and good practices in query writing and optimisation.
- Good understanding of relational databases and data architecture.
- Advanced Excel, including Power Query and Power Pivot.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights.
- Strong communication skills — able to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience working in the insurance or financial services sector.
- Familiarity with London Market data processes, including BDX, Xchanging or Vipr.
- Experience working with large, multi-source datasets and building data pipelines.
- Knowledge of Python for data analysis and automation.
- Experience building automated reporting solutions or data workflows.
- Hands-on experience using Databricks for analytics and reporting workflows.
